I am on my way back from CA to PA and have 180 miles left and the following occured:

While in cruise control at 70 mph all three warning lights came on brake(flashing), ABS, and check engine. Overhead console says system OK. As I came off the exit ramp which was in sight I could feel the brake boost working and not working. I got the truck off the road and the engine idled fine. I turned off the engine and cycled the power to get the Codes. Just P0700 which I think is a genaric trans code. After I restarted the engine and the ABS and brake lights went off. I checked the trans oil level and it was at the correct level and looked and smelled fine. I also checked the bottom of the truck and no leeks were seen. I called roadside service and they were no help. I looked up a hotel and drove slowly there (10 miles at no more than 50 mph). The transmission shifted fine the entire time and the brake boost did not go away. Any ideas? I do not want to waste a day waiting if there is no risk of damage. I am a little nervous driving the last 180 miles and having the brake boost going out because I am at 12,000 lbs right now.

Without looking deeper it sounds like you might have lost a wheel speed sensor for a short time. I'm not sure with the Aisin without looking it up, but the NAG trans uses wheel speed sensors for output speed. Not sure why the brake lights would flash and you have a trans code. Since you have a stand alone transmission controller with the Aisin you can't pull the codes in it, but luckily the ECM logs a companion code fault against the TCM.

Probably just some minor transient electrical, electronic, or computer malfunction as sag2 suggested that occurred once and may never show up again.

The negative side of all the convenient computer controlled functions that our trucks include is added complexity and the strange glitches that can occur.

I would drive it and forget about it unless it reoccurs and looks more serious. The truck is brand new and completely covered under warranty.

Generally speaking, the cab and chassis trucks are trouble free. I would expect yours to be also.

I am going to stick it out for a day here. I hope that the dealer can pull the codes because he does not have any C&C on the lot and he is not a BL dealer. If they do not have the tool then I want the Star line to tell me if it is OK to drive. There is snow here and some big hills in WV that would suck to loose ABS and brake boost on.
