still looking for an economical replacement for my stock steps. Passenger side was destroyed. i have a lead on a set of new 2015 steps (at a great price) that appear to be a fit - part #82213434ab i need advice from someone who knows these trucks better than i do....... This style appears to have a longer rear extension, which if the mounting brackets were the same would be perfect.....
82213434ab boards fit? t the onlline check your fit says no, but i don't believe it is accurate in this instance. thanks!!!!

Those appear to be for 13+ cabs.

I didn’t know there was a difference, but multiple websites state there is.

There are also other sites that list 1 running board for 2010-2018.

Are the local and can you see if they would fit?

Those look like the steps on my truck, sure do like having that step extended back along the front of the bed, stand back there when topping off the aux tank.
Can't say for sure whether they would fit a pre-2013 truck, but the cabs are pretty much the same. If it were me, I would make them fit somehow.

all, i bought the 2015 steps for a mega cab. They have the correct spacing for the brackets and as discussed, go from the front tire to the rear tire. super long. difference is, and likely the reason they say they won't fit are brackets. The brackets on the early steps mounted with 2 bolts that secured the steps to the inner rocker panel nutserts. the newer steps attach the same way, except that they have a 2nd set of 2 holes that attach the brackets to the truck through 2 holes in the pinch weld at the bottom of the cab. earlier trucks do not have these holes. I measured, mocked up, re measured and drilled the 6 required holes to attach the brackets. This system is much better. didn't like drilling through the sheetmetal, but will seal all holes before I finish the 2nd side. On the passenger side where the sheetmetal was damaged, i will be reinforcing the hex shaped holes with reinforcing brackets from AMP Research. They make backing plates to make their steps attached in a more robust manner. I think these should be used on any dodge step installation. https://www.electricstep.com/AMP-Research/pc/Hardware-Replacement-for-Dodge-HR-D-p520.htm

Overall, i turned an damage into an upgrade! Thanks.
