She's a bute. I saw a 2500 srw cc here locally. MSRP was 53K fully loaded whats up with that?



I just cant see spending that much, not that I can't, it's just I could buy a used 3rd gen for half that and probably have a better hauler.

Tires are 265/70R17, same as what came on my last truck, they look real small with the crew cab and long bed.

How are the headlights? You have the 4 bulb system looks like, but some of the lower trim levels have 2 bulb systems I believe???? Does anyone know what gets you 4 bulbs for sure?

SLs have 2 bulb lights. SLTs and Laramies have 4 bulb... although there may be some SLTs that also have 2 bulb lights (think I saw one at dealer... cant remember)

The headlights are much improved compared to my 2005, not sure if the changes in 06 helped much. The low beams stay on with the high beams, but the driving lights still go out of course. They are calling it Quad Headlamps and according to the website they are standard equipment on TRX, Power Wagon, and Laramie packages and optional equipment on SLT crew and mega cabs.

How big does the cab feel compared to your '05? Sat in the back seat yet?

I sat in the back before I bought it and have had up to three adults at a time in the back since then. Everyone that has been in it had been in my old truck and the back seat is the first thing they all commented on. It is much improved. I'm not sure of exact measurements, but it is on par with the super duty's finally. I considered the old back seat a park bench, not much cushion and pretty much a 90 degree angle on the back. My old truck had cloth, so I'm not sure if the leather seats were any better. The new seat has more cushion, more support, the bottom comes out farther on your thighs and the angle is more comfortable. I haven't been in a new mega cab, but I can't see needing more room than the new crew cab.

That is a great looking truck! Congrats. Wished I needed a new rig, I would be all over one of them. With a regular Crew Cab, I could get by fine without the Megacab. Plus, I would like to have the 8ft Bed. Great truck. Hope it does you well. Scotty
