2011 68RFE fluid change

I just put a Mag-hytec transmission pan on my truck. Everything says to change the fluid in the torque converter, but there is no plug in the converter that I can see. I pulled the cover and turned the converter 360 and no plug With the new pan, how much fluid should it take? I put 11 quarts in it to bring it up to the hot holes when hot, is this about right? It runs and shifts good, and a fter a good run the level is between the hot holes, but I think it should have taken more fluid... thoughts. .

I don't think MOPAR automatics have ever had a torque converter drain bolt. Draining and replacing fluid at the recommended intervals is normally good enough.

If Mag-Hytec can't tell you guess at a number of quarts you figure to be almost enough then start it up, let it run, and check the level with the dipstick while running. If you're lucky you can add fluid slowly until you get it up to the right level. If you guessed wrong and overfilled, shut it off and drain a little with the pan drain bolt now provided. No big deal either way.

Per the web site and my owners manual you add 2 1/2 to 3 Quarts more than stock.



Did you change out both filters when you put the new pan on?



Not everyone. I just change out the transmission fluid at the required service intervals.
