Ordering truck, couple questions

Is this normal or something I should be concerned about?

Good write up and enjoyd the pics also. I was wondering on the back seat of the Crewcab, why they have that notch in the middle. I guess you could put your short legged passengers there.

An other question is there enough room to get your feet passed/out of the door in the back seat when exiting? (in the crewcab) Ford and GM both have a too close area not big enough between the door and the back seat to exit comfortably.

I'm 6'3" and have no issues getting in or out f the back seat. (I don't do it very often though)
I know what you mean about the Ford and Chevy Crew's. They're designed for all of those 5' nothing passengers.

Thanks for your report and the EXCEPTIONAL pictures. I would like to know the specs on the camera that you used, because your photos are professional!

Regarding the Longhorn... . your commentary stated that there were two different interior trim levels available... one more, and one a little less flashy, depending on preference. Could you please elaborate on that. I had read that there were two different interior trim COLOR combinations (light and dark brown and slate/grey), but I had not heard that there were 2 different levels of interior trim. Is is possible that there are only two interior color options, but that one of them might have appeared a little less ornate than the other?

It's too bad that RAM didn't have a Longhorn show truck in the new Sagebrush color. I would have liked to have seen that color under the lights.

The durango is nice. Is it based off the grand cherokee?

Yes, it is based off the same if memory serves.

Reading of your admiration and respect for the decision makers now running Chrysler makes me feel good about the future of our beloved Rams with Cummins engines.

Same here. It is nice to see! :)

I too would like to commend you for the coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, as well as the supurb pictures you have provided us! I thank you for the time you spent in doing this for the benefit of the TDR croud.

Yes, you can get out the door. Still, if your foot is a size 18, you may have issues! :-laf

As for the seat, I am not sure. Did not ask but I have to wonder now... .

Thanks for the compliments!

Lets see what I can clear up here.

There is not two trim levels per say, but different amounts of Long Horn! ;) The way it was explained to me, is one had more details like laser etching in the seats while the other didnt.

I would agree with your theory. Here is a pic of the gray Long Horn interior:
