The shaft actually held up quite well. It looks as though it never broke. It appears as though it twisted up enough to shorten itself so much it just came out of the spline.

When I was a newbie log truck driver, I did that to a drive shaft on a '64 dcf400 IHC (Donald Duck truck) Looked about like this:

Yessir, click on the link in the first post to see the build thread. The first few pages are awesome. It kinda tapers off and then leaves you hanging at the end.

Then Im not surprised at all about twisting out that shaft! Needs a 1410 or bigger!

I did click on the link. Very impressive. I’m shocked that the bay swallowed that thing! Nice work on mounts and front cover.
I’ve never been on that site. Waaaay toooo many pop ups and distractions.
