Oh, and the service manager told me that only about 2/10 of Dodge 4x4 trucks have the lube point. Unbelievable..... they are to lazy to look for it so tell customers they don't have it!

This thread reminds me of why I do all the maintenance on all my stuff.
I realize that not everyone is able to do the same, and feel sorry for ya. All I can say is find yourself a good HONEST INDEPENDENT mechanic to handle these routine maintenance items and simply record them in your owners maintenance log. Do NOT be bullied by some idiot service advisor with a clipboard.

I have to have a talk with the only two dealers that ever serviced my 07 C&C. I wonder if my air filter was ever even changed, see picture, I just found this a month ago, with 45K miles.

That filter is why I do mine as well. Took my 2004. 5 in for warranty service on the P/S box and while there, they reflashed my computer for some TSB update, signed off the service sheet as everything working and I drove out believing that. Got about one mile away and found that my headlights were on, then that the turn signals were not working even though I was getting an indicator inside, and that I had no break lights. Drove straight back and found that during the computer reflash they blew a module. Of course they did not have one and I lost use of the truck for five days. Even though I told them not to reflash anything again without consulting me, they did it again and blew the same module and I lost the use of the truck again. Got a free oil change for my troubles and no apology. Then noticed that I had motor oil on my passenger side fender (it's a white truck) and oil slopped under the hood where I guess they did the suck method to change the oil. I wouldn't let these jerks touch my truck again but who can you trust anymore. There are some things I would like to have done as I am now in my seventies but I will continue to grunt it out as long as I can.

If you ever have trouble or need service in Central Ca. I recommend you don't stop at Razzari (called W'ere Sorry by us locals) in Merced, Ca.

Mike
