Electric Outside Mirrows

Aluminum Rear Differential Cover is it really needed?

I understand that the brake controller in the 2012 models has adjustable settings through the EVIC? Unfortunately, I would imagine I couldn't simply purchase one of these controllers to upgrade the one in my 2010?

If you dont like the factory one, Get a Max Brake. Best controller I have ever used. The one in my 2012 is good, but not as good as the Max Brake.

And there you have it, a comparison report by a man who has used both for those who argue about the greatness of their OEM brake controller.

There YOU go my Dad has a 12 and his works better than any brake controller he has ever used, yes the ones that tap into the brake line!

I know it kills you to think that someone has designed something as good or better than what you have.

I will be trying my Dad's controller on my truck to see if it will work, Chrysler engineers are not sure if it will work since the display on mine was not programed for the newer controller.

If it does not work I will probably buy a Max Brake from Dutch and Di.

Mine works good but not great like my Dad's does.

Blah, blah, blah.

I believe the man who has used both a MaxBrake and his OEM brake controller is in a position to know the facts.

It's an opinion Harvey.

I guess my Dad's opinion in your eyes is Blah, blah, blah

Oh that is right, you say you have never even sat in a 4th gen.

I guess You did not notice I said if I can't make the 12 controller work I will be getting the Max Brake.

If I do get the max brake will we be Buds?

You know I am messin with ya!

Yep, you're correct, it is an opinion - an objective and informed opinion not a biased opinion like the one held by yourself and your dad.

I have noticed your careful choice of weazle words when you claim that your dad has used other direct connect brake controllers. It is clear that he has NOT used a BrakeSmart or MaxBrake therefore his opinion is not worth much to me.

I am not sure what I have done to you to deserve the "weazle words" comment. I was trying to generalize in as few of words as possibe by saying "the ones to tap into the brake line".

He had a Kelsey Hayes, some other brand? and Max Brake. Happy now?

I am going by my Dad's opinion and you are going by someone I assume don't know.

I have never towed with a 12 and you have never sat in one. I like my controller it is better than the Tekonsha controllers I have used but from what I have been told the Max Brake and the 12 controller are great units.

So if I can't make the 12 work in my 11 Max Brake it will be!

If that's the case then I read your comments wrong. I thought you were being deliberately vague by not naming the brake controllers your dad has used.

If he has used a MaxBrake and the '12 Ram controller I remain skeptical but open to new information. Perhaps the '12 controller is good but human nature being what it is I'll reserve judgement until more comparison comments have been posted.

Thanks,
I hope I can make the 12 controller work in mine but I will be surprised if it will. I then will get the Max Brake from Dutch and Di, I just hate to have an add on.

I will give you a report on my findings if I end up with the MaxBrake.

Please let me know if you get the 12 controller to work in your 2011. I really don't want any add-ons hanging off my dash.
