Hello TDR Ontario,
I hope the mild winter treated you all well and that those who went south, have returned safely!
For this summer’s events, "we" (Your Ontario TDR VP Shawn and I) have tried to book some tours of a couple facilities we thought may be of interest to the club. Due to these tours though, it has delayed the release of the schedule for far too long (the items on here were planned back in February!). As you all know, dealing with large companies and getting them to settle on a date and details is a really big challenge. That being the case, I have listed a few events as TBA. These events are really in the hands of the various companies so we will see what they have in mind for the dates. I have therefore pushed them off until the fall and will update you as the tours firm up. Let’s just say both tours will knock your socks off!
So the years events look as follows:
May 5, 9:00 AM – Dyno day at Diesel Doctors in Georgetown.
Many of you have been to this yearly event before. It is likely the largest annual Diesel pickup dyno event in Ontario.
June 9: - Swiss Chalet – Dinner 5:00 PM. Actual eating at 6:00 (after yapping in the parking lot for an hour or so about trucks! J) Address is 6300 Silverdart Dr, Malton L5P 1C4. We have chosen this location due to being central to 400, 404, 407, and 427.
June 16 – St Thomas Dragway – This year we will join the Western Ontario Mopar club for Mopar race day. It will be open to all years of Mopar- gas, diesel, and other! So if you like Challengers, Cudas, Road Runners, Neon, Cummins Rams, and well, anything Mopar; this is the place to be! Gates officially open 8:00 am.
August 3 - 5 – Camping trip to Notre Dame du Nord in Quebec for the Class 8 Semi truck races
The plan (nothing is in stone yet) is to have two groups meet up and continue the remainder of the drive to Notre Dame as a convoy (should there be enough interest). Although camping is the primary form of lodging, some hotel accommodations are available. Please note this is a HUGE event! Most accommodations are booked a year out. As this is the case there will be no room blocks or site reservations. If you have an interest in attending, it is highly recommended you book early. Also please note I have NOT been to this event before therefore I cannot provide too much planned activities beyond the races themselves. If you would like to come along for what will likely be an event filled few days, please let me know and I will add your info into the group to keep you updated.

September ?/October 13– TBA as per above.
