Just wondering if there are any members from Western Canada planning on driving to Columbus in June? It's a long drive ( about 3000kms from Edmonton ) and would be great to have others to caravan with. Shad

I'll be coming down thru Minot and Fargo then on to Minneaplois, then down to Madison and Bloomington and Indy, or something like that as I have never been there before :) Shad

maybe we can meet some ware in wisconsin on interstate 94!? as i live near LaCrosse wisconsin and 94 is just north of me and goes southeast down to Madison and if you have a idea what day you are planning to heading down?

Once I figure out the details of where I'll be when I'll be in touch. For me it's a 3 day drive so I have to figure out where to stop for the night first . Shad

I am in Bismarck Shad and have been kicking around going. Are you thinking of going through Minot to Bismarck and then across to Fargo? Or cutting across on 52 between Minot and Jamestown? Let me know, Ok? I've been thinking about going and would be fun to run with someone! "Mercy sakes alive it looks like we got ourselves a convoy"

Going thru Bismarck is only about 15-20 minutes longer, however I was going to spent the night somewhere near Fargo and then another night somewhere else, maybe Rockford WI? That's less than 3 hours to Fargo for you. I'll be towing my " hotel " behind the Dodge :) For me it is over 30 hours of driving and while I can do 10 the first day doing it 3 days in a row when you are not used to it doesn't sound like fun. Maybe we could meet in Fargo the next day? Were you planning on driving all the way in 1 day or spending the night somewhere along the way? Now I just have to find campgrounds :) Shad

once you guy's figure out how you two are coming into wisconsin and ware you are stopping for the night or if you Dave are driveing all the way in one day. then i cam figure out how i can hook up with the both of you or one of the two of you, I will whate untill you two figure out what you are going to do, since i have the shortest drive of the three of use. If you have any questions for my plan's on my trip down just let me know. I am staying in the hotel down there for time i am down there.

Shad if you are bringing your camper then maybe I'll do the same. I love pulling that thing. There is no camping in Fargo but just across the border in Moorhead there is a KOA or a former KOA. Or not even about 15 miles further (the name escapes me at this moment) is a town with a municipal campground that is pretty nice. I stop there sometimes if I don't feel like pushing the last three hours home. Actually until you posted this, I wasn't planning on going but the chance to hang around some TDR guys is way too tempting. You would probably hit Fargo either Wednesday or Thursday night? In either case, I could just hook up with you there and we can rock out in the morning. I ran the directions on Google yesterday. The shortest route was through Chicago. Been there done that several times with TT in tow and it was a nightmare. So I did a relook and mapped the trip south out of Rockford and then over. It added about 60 miles to the trip and one hour of driving but based on past experience, we'd spend that hour in traffic around Chi-Town plus a chunk of change every 20 miles on tolls. I am however very open.

BLoging: If Shad and I continue on I-94, we'd cross over right out of St. Paul and hook up to I-90 south of the Dells. Man this sounds like a great time!!! Now, how do I get this past the CinC Home (wife)!

I have my wife's blessing? or is it that she just wants rid of me for a while :) My brother might come with me, if not I will solo it. Ahh Peace and Quiet, just the purr of the engine and the hum of the tires. No way am I driving thru Chicago with or without a TT, just don't like big cities, lived in one for too long up here. If I had more time I would even stay off the Interstates and do the back roads.

Moorhead works for me as all I need is a decent place to stop for the night ( Tues June 4 ). That would be about 7+ hours of driving that day for me plus whatever time it takes to do the border crossing that morning - never know how long that can take. Then down 94 all the way to Rockford, spend Wed night somewhere near there as that's about 8+ hours of driving and then the next morning continue on down 39 to Bloomington, and take 74 over to Indy and then 65 to Columbus, about another 5. 5 hours. That would bring us to CERAland campground sometime Thursday afternoon. I'm not trying to plan everything out to the minute but I want to leave room for the unexpected, and still arrive in one piece.

You guys can join in anywhere along the route. Where do you buy cheap fuel? I can take about 110 gals if I'm dry. Shad

that sound's like a very good driving plan and i then will have some people to drive with and I may have to change my hotel reservations so i can convoy with you guys. if any thing changes just let me know on hear or you can email me at benjaminjohn1977@hotmail.com thank's Benjamin
