So I downloaded Geno's Garage instructions for the 67,500 service and replaced the CCV Filter and cleaned the EGR valve. I wanted to have documentation of using the right materials for my MaxCare, so even though the reference in the instructions suggested using Purple Power, I bought some Mopar cleaner. The referenced test soaked the EGR cooler for two hours and Purple Power won, the Mopar didn't do much. I got sidetracked and left my valve soak for two days. It was pretty clean when I took it out but the instructions suggested using a soft nylon brush to do a really good job. I went looking through the toolbox for a toothbrush as I usually have several lurking around in the garage. No luck so I asked dear wife if she had one. Every time we go to the dentist they give us brushes which we don't use because we have a cordless one, so she brought me one of those. Much to my surprise it was an electric one with a non replaceable battery. Wow did that do a job on the inside of the valve. Get one!
Geno's instructions said to remove the dipstick bracket. I didn't have to do that. And they didn't mention the exhaust tube clamp, which i had to use a deep well socket on. I also had trouble getting it off until I popped it loose from the flange and rotated it to see that I could squeeze the clamp and pop the T-bolt out of its holder.
So now I have a fully done 67,500 service.
