Hello,

I have a 2013 Ram 3500 with the Aisin 69RC Trans, my dealer hasn’t been any help to me so any help would be appreciated.
The problem I have is:
While towing a horse trailer or skid loader transmission works perfect up to 6th gear, on a steep hill turbo spools up engine starts lugging like it should but all of a sudden I get a huge vibration that starts an it feels like it will shake the truck apart, and has a loss of power. It doesn’t matter if tow/haul is on, doesn’t matter if you let off the accelerator or not, if you leave your foot into it it will shift down to 5th vibration goes faster, 4th gear faster yet. But eventually it's like someone flips a switch an it takes off, vibration is gone, an all power is restored an it runs perfect. So any help or things to try would be greatly appreciated sense I can’t have find anyone that knows what is actually going on with it.

Thanks :)

Are you sure it's the transmission? Sounds like it could be engine performance related. Time to get a data recording.

Is the vibration related to engine RPM or vehicle speed? That will go a long way to sorting out the problem as to whether its drivetrain or engine related.

Honestly im not sure of anything with this truck anymore. lol Its been a problem child sense it showed up on a semi. lol You name it, its had issues. If it was engine related shouldn't I have a CEL? I just had it in the shop about 4,000 miles ago and had an overhead done and talked to them about injectors while it was there an they said they should be fine, not to worry about them. Fuel filters have been changed twice sense this issue has started.

Reason I think its a transmission issue is dealer changed filter in the pan an ATF and that's when truck started having these issues.

Have you checked the fluid level? Do you monitor your transmission temperature on your display? What do you mean by it had an overhead done?

This is sounding kind of like it could be in The Rest of the Story. When you have all the facts available things usually get repaired. Just like I tell my students, what did we do to break it?

Going up hill pulling trailer making the truck work. Something happens, truck shudders for awhile an like a flip of a switch it stops an keeps going. Note: 25 seconds truck downshifts, shudder goes faster.

Yeah, that's not good. Have you checked your fluid level? I'd be looking at the recent you had on the transmission first off. Did they use the correct fluid, is the fluid at the correct level, is the filter dislodged somehow? Unfortunately the only sure way to know a few of these is to drop the pan and look and ensure it's serviced with the correct fluid and the correct amount.

Fluid level is okay, fluid was correct from Dealer an I watched them install, filter was new but I got another new one an new oil again so I guess next thing is drop pan an see if we can find. idk...
