Thanks, TDR Staff

NAFTA now allows trucks from Mexico to operate in the US.

Why GVW arguments on here amuse me.......

Posting for my mother in law....14 Hemi half ton and headlights come on and cannot be shut off. Truck sat for 6 hours Sunday and headlights came on once by themselves. No matter what I do with regards to switch position or ignition I cannot make them shut off.

Any idea which tipm or bcm runs the exterior lights? My dealer is worthless when it comes to troubleshooting and won't be of any help.

I can't answer your tipm question specifically. But, I had the opposite issue with my 2010 a while back. Lights would just come on dim. I disconnected the battery for a few hours and it seemed to reset whatever the problem was.

Did you try unhooking the batteries to reset it? not sure what controls the headlights but that may help for the time being.

She did that recently on a long trip when she realized the headlights wouldn't shut off. It remedied the problem for a short time but the truck is doing it again.

A little late to this but if the switch has bad or no connection the BCM will request the lights on for safety. Probably will require a trip to the dealer to see if it is on the input side (switch) or the BCM.
