I haven't found a negative side to my anti-sway bar, I think the truck drives much better empty. I didn't notice it following the road anymore than without, and certainly not as much as tire changes do.

The only roads that I notice it on are the side roads that don't have good pavement or foundation and are not consistently flat. I drive one every day for about 4 miles that is like this and it is particularly bad, so that's why I noticed it. I don't notice it on the highways.

I could see that being an issue, just not something I have noticed. I do a lot of driving on crappy roads, dirt roads, etc and I guess my point is that it don't think it's something to deter a purchase.

I wonder if it's because you have a DRW?

It would be nice to have a SB link on one side with a release like is used on some jeeps! I have a 2001.5 with the camper package and disconnected one side a few years ago as a test. It did improve the ride empty! When my neighbor is gone some day and I get his mill and lathe I will make my own disconnecting link. Chris

I've thought about making it part of my spring/fall routine to just take the nut off of one off the links at the lower end and swing it up and zip tie it there for winter. I'll see how this new one feels on the new truck once I get it on. I only need mine for camping season.

Well that's odd... both the 09 and 14 I just picked up have the sway bar at the rear axle:confused: Not complaining at all though! :)

I see your 09 was a cab and chassis, and I'm going to assume that the 2014 is as well. They are different as they are meant for work and designers aren't as worried about the grocery getters complaining about the ride with those and are more concerned with them being able to perform with a load on them instead, that's why they have them from factory.

mpaulson, okay, that explains it. thanks for this info. yes they are both c&c and that makes sense. i did notice the other day though that the sway bar on the 14 is much beefier than the 09.

i need to update my sig i guess...

My 07 C&C sway bar seems beefy enough, but the spring package is also different than a pickup, so you can't compare the ride even if you remove it.
