See my Sig Snoking, I have "REAL Trucks" as well. I traded in my 1500 "grocery getter" on the 3/4 ton because I wanted a new plow truck to replace the 3/4 ton I currently plow with. I'm disappointed my old 3/4 ton handles it much better than my new 3/4 ton.

And I really wouldn't consider a 2500 diesel a "grocery getter" And yes, it is possible to have a good ride with good capability. GM has been doing it for years.

For many years the SRW 3500 and the 2500 were the extra same truck except for the rear springs. Now RAM has chosen to separate them by quite different suspensions, size of rear diff, available transmissions and power outputs. No longer can one add springs or air bags and stay they have just as capable trucks. So I will have to agree to disagree. Chris

UPDATE: the suspension definitively was bottoming out, but not like you would think. When the plow mount was installed, they forgot to cut the bolts down and the sway bar was hitting them. So after about 1.5" of travel, the sway bar was slamming into the bolt. No wonder it felt so harsh!

If it still bothers you, check to see if the 988 series springs( or their equivalent) will fit. I run a 9.2 VXT and they made all the difference on my 04.
