2014 Ram 3500 Random Stuff Not Working

My DEF gauge sat on/near empty for a while before I got a message on EVIC as shown in Issue 85.

mine has done that in the past, but today it apparently made def as the gage is up above a 1/4 now! Yesterday it was laying on EMPTY. One time before when it was on EMPTY, I poured 1 2.5 gal container of DEF in and when I started the truck it went to above FULL! Something is waaaaay off.
In the past, I could also BT my Slacker Radio from my Droid to the truck, that no longer works although the phone is connected just fine. The SD card slot only works on rare occasion.
Im writing out a list of issues for the dealer so they dont forget anything and its going in tomorrow.

I can't speak for most of your issues but do understand your frustration. I have felt the same way about things not working on our 2014 single cab 3500 dually. I will add that I just got the latest update to my nav/radio. I believe it is version 4.25. The update came out in July but according to the Dodge dealer, it just became available this past week. They put the update on a flash drive then added it to our truck. Too new to know if it has fixed our nav issues but time will tell.
I hope you get your issues resolved. We have gotten some of them resolved but are still working on others. We will have our truck 1 year next month. Hugs, Di

Man this is getting aggrevating. The more I drive this truck the more I find not working. I have about 6K on it now. Hit the remote start, hopped in to truck, dang air cooled seat not on again!
When I first got the truck, there was a screen on the 8.4AN to set my desired presets for that. Its disappeared and now sometimes I start the truck the cooled seat is on low, sometimes its on high, sometimes its off and its NOT temperature related.
When I get out of the truck and try to lock the doors using the convienent button on the handle, I have to sit there and push it 5-10 times before it will lock. I COULD dig the key fob out of my pocket and lock it, but I paid extra for the convienence of the dang push button. Tried it from the passenger side, it works flawless every time, guess Im suppose to crawl out the passenger door to use that extra.
Was thrilled when I bought the truck that it had an SD card for all my thousands of songs... Well crap, more than half the time, the head unit will not recognize the SD card and just stalls out. Only fix is multiple keyswitch cycles in my new 60K truck on the side of the road!
BT to Droid only receives about half of the text messages that my phone gets although it always says its connected to BT.
DEF gage has a mind of its own, will read with needle in red zone but no alarms or messages, 500 miles later and restart the truck it reads just under a half! WTH, does my truck MAKE DEF? Next keyswitch cycle it will be back to 1/4 tank!
Truck has recall for RF hub... Guess I need to make a list, check it twice and take it in, AGAIN!.
Guess Im just venting here!.. Anyone else having issues out of their Laramie or Longhorn?
Thinking maybe its due to all the electronic gadgets on the more loaded up trucks....

Thanks Di, yep, very frustrating to have a new truck in the shop so often. I dont get much free time and when I do, last thing I want to do is deal with something new thats broken!

Does Dodge have a quality control team at their assembly plant? The dealer should only have to deal with minor issues especially on a brand new truck.

Today for whatever the easy entry feature that moves the seat back stopped working!!@#$#@$%%# I'm using the same key fob and it is still turned on in the menu on the 8.4AN. !!@#
It's like your driving your desk top computer around with these new trucks. I love the features, but just don't want to be dealing with stuff like that. The computer at work gives me enough stress, I don't need more on the drive home!

If anyone has this problem, I found the solution on a Ram website. The problem starts by manually putting the seat all the way back, eg. cleaning the truck or something. This apparently stops the easy entry function even though it is turned on. To fix it you have to go into the menu and turn OFF the feature, then make the seat go all the way back, then all the way forward, then all the way back again, then hit your memory seat button number. Then go into the menu and turn the feature back on and it will work again. Just did this tonight and it fixed it.

If they do exist, I can think of a few other jobs they might be better at, like lawn care or septic tank inspector?

dealer called today and said it was all fixed other than the door handle. Said he had to order it and would take a couple of days to get it in and install.

Unfortunately, I have to report that the update didn't work as I had hoped. "she", will tell you to turn right and when you look at the map, the turn arrow is pointing left. Hard to figure out what to do when you're 54 foot long with no time to stop and figure it out. We just try to use what the map directs and hope we are right. If no, we have to find a place to turn around. I was told that if this doesn't fix this issue, my next "fix" is to have the whole radio replaced. Only downside is that it takes 3 weeks to get one in and when you are a fulltime RV'er, you don't know where you will be in 3 days let alone 3 weeks. I'm going to try and figure out this weekend where a change in our schedule to accommodate where to have a radio sent to a Dodge Dealer. Hugs, Di

Well, Its back from the dealership. Took it in Empty of DEF and filthy inside and out. They returned it to me sparkling clean and full of DEF at no charge!
They performed the RF hub Recall, replaced the door handle, apparently did several other software updates ( mainly to the 8.4 Nav) Looks like they performed a "related" TSB update on the DEF issue. I also know they added 5 gallons to the tank by looking at the paperwork.
