That's what I have been told to do by my tire guys. They say the crown in the road will wear the inner tires out sooner if they are not set 3 psi lower than the outer.

I'll be damned, never heard that before. I'm surprised 3psi would make a difference. I wonder if there would be much of a temperature difference?

Interesting reading on this website... http://www.crashforensics.com/tirefailures.cfm

I have Alcoa wheels on my truck and a friend of mine just told me that two centering cones on the front wheel studs help align the wheels so that when you tighten the lug nuts which are flange type the wheels are centered. I seem to have a slight vibration on the highway after rotating tires and I do have centramatics on front and rears.

If you still have the General POS tires sell them on CL. Spend the money and get Michelin MS2's. Run 80 front and 45 rear solo. I have about 17K on the Michelins and they are wearing very evenly at those pressures.

When I order my 15 with rear air suspension it WILL have Michelin MS2's!

The POS Generals will go in the back of the truck and be posted on Craig's List.

That really is the only thing I have been disgusted with on my 11.

Unfortunately what I learned is Dodge is the only company that won't warranty tires on a new vehicle. GM and Ford both will. I don't have a dealer that carries General tires within 400 miles of me, so trying to get the tires warrantied by General was out of the question. My dealer took very good care of me and we worked out a new set of michelins for my truck. I'll never own another general tire again. If anything I'm ever looking to purchase has them on it, swapping them will be part of the deal before it rolls off the lot. When they pulled the tires off they checked them for tolerance on their Road Force for what is considered "correctable". If I recall 4 of the 6 were out of spec and a couple of them were so far out of round it was pathetic. You could see them moving up and down more than an inch when you spun them.

I think you will find that the front tires are overloaded on a 2013 dually Cummins 4X4 Asin at 65 psig. Our tires at 65 psig are rated at only 2,680# per tire on the front and 2560# per tire on the rear. Probably plenty of capacity on the rear, but based on my trucks weight empty, the front tires are at their load limit on an empty truck.

I would agree. I run mine at 80 front at all times and at 17K the Michelins are wearing evenly.

I've had the same shaking problem since day 1 on my 2014 Ram 3500 Laramie. After 8 trips to the dealer, an unsuccessful inspection by Chrysler's field rep and an inspection by the district rep, Chrysler finally has authorized 6 new Michelins. After I got the dealer's general manager to ride in the truck, the dealership somehow "forced" Chrysler. Hopefully that will take care of the shaking! Goodbye General's.

I learned all about Dodge's vibration issues in my 04.5 Dodge ram 5.9L. I took it for a nice test drive on the local highway at 50mph. Loved the truck made the deal and started driving home. The vibration was so bad my arms got numb. It turned out to be a bad front driveshaft (which was kind of issue with some of these years trucks) which they repaced. Then it was perfect. Now on every car/truck I buy I tell I have to take on a highway to test drive it even if there's not one around, otherwise no deal. I've already refused one deal after a vibration on a dodge product (non truck). The dealer had a mechanic rush out and rebalance all of the tires. But still refused the vehicle. This truck was perfect but I didn't have any prior experience with wander. But after spending about 3K I've learned a lot about wander.

Let me know what you find out.Mine is staying at dealer for more test.

My 14' Seems to have a annoying vibration above 62. It will come and go but is smooth below 62. I am going to have my tires/rims road forced and matched properly and see if it changes. If not then I will return to the dealer.

Join the club, they did the road force balance on mine.said they were in spec.changed driveshaft, and found a loose hub. No change in vibration.and I put 1700lbs in bed and vibration got worse.make sure you go to the dealer with it. we all need to document this to push them to solve this problem.

Not sounding to good. I had to take my truck back to dealer as my Tire Pressure system will not read two sensors and then says "service system" and won't read any. Dealer cannot figure it out. They have opened a case with Chrysler. I am going to let them try and figure that out before bringing up more problems. Truck has a entire 234 miles on it and been back to Dealer once so far. Will be going back once they hear from Chrysler. :/
