looks like they might be reparing the 2014 they had most of it apart this morning with a 11.500 amount with more to look at . ins says wont total unless its more then 70 percent waiting for the call may be stuck here for several more weeks.

Try looking into some diminished value from the insurance co. Learned the hard way about that after my '08 was hit on the street, not as bad as yours sounds. When I traded it in on my '13 it was the first thing they mentioned and wanted to ding me about $1000 I think. I didn't trade it there.

I would be prefering the repair. I've added quite a bit onto mine with the Sulastic shackles, transmission coolers, bypass filter, gooseneck hitch, upgraded metal wye for radiator hose, and a few other upgrades I'm sure I've forgotten about.

Wouldn't want to start over. I did all those upgrades myself and it took hours to complete.

There are many commercial hauler services that will do that for you. Is the trailer with the same insurance company as the truck? Maybe they will arrange to get it back home for you on their dime. Check with your agent. There are commercial haulers here on the forum maybe one of them will contact you.

if you have to get a truck anyway, see if there is either a good used or new truck that works for you at a local dealer and take it home yourself.

Might be cheaper in the long run.

Back is to Rhode Island? 1400+/- miles. Is your truck drivable? Maybe you can turn over to your insurance company at home?

There are some people who use their trucks on truck share apps like Uber and Lyft. Not sure of anyone doing long distances like yours. You might call a dealership and see if they have a hot shorter connection?

Also, RV manufacturers or dealers in the area may have a hot shorter connection.

If the RV is insured with the same insurance company as the truck, they may work something out for you

dealer in gulf port miss located one that should work 76K anyone have an idea how much I can shave off the sticker price??? there is a rebate of 2 K Looks like I could be in the drivers seat this time factory closed no one working 76K could sit on the lot a long time .

Down here in San Antonio TX, dealers are marking $10K to $15K off Ram diesels AND 84 months 0% interest with 90 days delay for first payment. Check online as well to see if there are any other dealers in the area you are shopping to compete for your business, if no one close, find comparable Ford or Chevy to leverage the price. No competition can reduce chances of making a great deal. Even find a new one on Ebay and use it for dealing. I actually purchased a new Ram 4500 on Ebay in 2009.

You should be in great dealing position, no trade and a check from the ins company for your wreck.

Cheers, Ron
