My truck has 4100 miles on it, I have an Edge CS2 monitor installed,on 3 occasions I have noticed the EGT ,normally 500-600 Deg,climb to 1000-1100 Deg. I cannot find any information in the owners manual on this subject. If I didn't have the CS2 monitor I would not be aware of the high EGT. I am assuming is is some type of re generationprocess taking place. Thnx for your help

Possibly/probably it is doing an active regeneration of the diesel particulate filter. If it can't burn out the particulates during your normal driving, it will do an "active" regen where it heats up the exhaust.

Nothing to worry about, it's normal for the regen.

Yup, that sounds like a regen. I have an Edge JWA CTS system and a little red light that illuminates during active regen. My EGT's will raise to 1050 or more during an active regen. You might to check and see if you have a CID that will show active regen so you are certain that is what is happening.
