An extra 15 ft/lb,s ! Just so they can beat Furd by 5? what a joke. But the sad thing is that the ill informed vast majority of pick buyers out there will jump brands just to say that there truck has 1 hp more than yours. Pathetic bunch that marketing has to try to sell to. They don't look beyond driving it off the lot and actually putting some real miles on the truck and actually pulling a trailer up a mountain with that truck 7 years from now and what it cost to rebuild the truck by that time which in general Ram kick's butt.

Frankly I wish they would stop this one-up-man-ship the tow ratings are already way beyond where they should be for a class 3 truck IMHO. I wish they would instead focus on MPG. In today's world I think that would get far more people to hop brands if ram came out and instead of 1 million pounds of tow rating came out with 30 mpg in a 3/4 ton truck (currently impossible, but who knows un the future). GM finally gave up but I fear ford and ram will continue for a bit more till ford figures out that they are competing with a medium duty truck engine against their light duty engine. The last time they issued a update my buddy lost 6 mpg off his powerstroke going from 750 ftlbs to 800.

Each time I tow with this truck the more I love it. Just did 400 km's yesterday with a 30', 10,000# travel trailer behind coming out of the mountains and on the up hill stretches where you get two lanes, that's when I go from 80 km/hr(50 mph) to 130 km/hr(81 mph) and pass them all! At one point that was 4 other RV's! I did this kind of a pass 7 times. Yea, I'm one of those idiots, but I refuse to do 20 under the limit and I have put LT tires on the RV so that they won't blow up like chi-pops with there 65 mph speed rating.
Is the extra 15 ft/#'s really going to make a difference? I doubt it, just bragging rights.

I really dont know if I could be any happier with my truck, does everything in great fashion, Weighing a combined 28,000# seems like nothing in the mountain passes. Would the extra torque sway me,, I doubt it.
