I'm not surprised you haven't heard of the infamous "Ford lost engine" syndrome...............it seems like the engine is lost........it makes horrible noises and then goes silent..........like it's MISSING! :)
On my 2012 F250, the 6.7 PSD was the one thing in the powertrain that I DIDN'T have any issues with!

And, since RAM quit offering the Mega cab in 2WD, plus the fact that Ford offers its highest output engine and 10-spd trans in the 3/4 ton trucks(RAM doesn't), I'm seriously looking at a new F250 to replace my RAM.

Good luck if you do. I'm not drinking the Ford Koolaid................ever again! My rear end still stings!

My dad's F350 6.7 PSD went over 400K without any issues at all for the whole truck, may still be hauling RV trailers all over the country with its new owner for all I know. And, he wasn't half as diligent with maintenance as I am.

Not doubting you but I've heard alot of stories about high mileage 6.7s......kinda like seeing sasquatch.....a rumor, a glimpse off in the distance!

My 2012 had 214K on it when I traded, and as I said, it ran perfectly, and most of the things that had failed had been fixed. Probably should have kept it a while longer, but I had a woody for a new truck.
