2016 headlights vs 2013 headlights

Hey guys, I'm wondering what if any are the changes between 2016 and 2013 headlights? I've read that Ram changed the wiring? My question is if the HID set I have in my 2013 will work in the 2016? I have a full Phillips set with the canbus wiring, relays, etc. Works very well in the 2013. Will it work in the 2016?

I'm talking about a '13 3500 Laramie Longhorn with projectors and a '16 3500 Laramie Limited with projectors.

Look up the OEM bulb numbers for the 13 and then the 16. If they are the same then I can't see why they wouldn't work.

They won't. A friend of mine did extensive research on this when I bought his '16 last month. He did put on a kit this week, and it works perfect. He tried his kit he had in his '10 and it didn't work, and as part of his research he determined that in '15 something changed. Hoping he'll see this thread as he does lurk on the TDR.

I traded my '13 for a new '15, and all I can say is the headlights are much better on the new one, especially on high beams.

Your '13 must have been bad, because out of the 4 vehicles I currently own, the only vehicle with worse stock headlights is my '98 Jeep. That friend of mine with the '16 only had about 400 miles on his truck before he determined he was going to work with a company on a kit as they were so terrible. Hoping Ram will hear me complain enough, as I've done in other threads, to realize not having HID's as a factory option in a truck which has an MSRP as high as $75k is absolutely ridiculous.

Which Phillips kit do you have in your 2013? Is it truly plug and play without throwing codes? I am looking to upgrade my stock. Tried some LED's and they were worst than the stock lamps..
