2016 RAM 3500 Aisin Smells like burnt oil in cabin.

Just changed the CCV and added cabin filter and the smell got worse. Does anybody have experience with this?

There’s a crank case vent tube on the left side of the cover. Check to see if it’s connected properly or if it’s cracked/broken.

Thank you, went back and cleaned up the area on the cover and the smell went away. Happy it was an easy fix.

I had a 2018 5500 that had the same issue. It would just smell like hot fluid. Dodge replaced the t case under warranty. T case was leaking fluid. Then 6 months later the t case exploded going down the freeway and the truck subsequently burnt to the ground in a matter of minutes. Id keep an eye on it if yours happens to be a 4x4.
