2007 - 2010
350 hp @ 3,013 rpm • 650 lb-ft @ 1,500 rpm (auto trans) • 610 lb-ft @ 1,500 rpm (manual trans)

2011 - 2012*
350 hp @ 3,013 rpm • 800 lb-ft @ 1,600 rpm (auto trans) • 610 lb-ft @ 1,500 rpm (manual trans)

Not all 2011 Auto's had 800#.....Mine certainly did not have 800# I took delivery of my 2011 pretty early, and I remember about 3 months later seeing the announcements for the 800# coming later, either 2011.5 or 2012.

Q: How can you tell when the salesman isn't lying? A: His lips aren't moving. Q: What do you get with a combination of ignorance, stupidity, and arrogance? A: A salesman.

The HP and torque specs are EPA certified, an expensive, lengthy process for Ram. No such thing as special ordering something different from their regular offerings for a given engine, trans, diff, tire size, etc.

Plus some have dyno-ed them. Any automatic will peak higher than 700 at the rear wheels.

There's a sales person (yes, a woman) at our local dealership who has an amazing knowledge of Ram trucks. She actually owns and uses a Ram 3500 CTD dually truck on her off days to tow a horse trailer loaded with her roping horses. She is a team roper and not the usual know-nothing b*** s**** artists at most dealerships.

I wonder......since there's no hard-part engine differences at all between the G56 trucks to the 68RFE trucks to the AS69RC trucks....if that info is displayed nowadays on the ECM on the side of the engine???

"So ask her were the engine data plate is on the new trucks! "
On my '13 it is on the top of the valve cover, under the cowl where it is hard to read!

I pointed that out to some a while back that the engine S/N was on it. Looked again just now. It has valve lash and CPL 4513 on mine. Now to decode that CPL.

From quick serve:

ISB:

The dataplate is typically located on the engine rocker cover, but may be located on the side of the gear housing. The engine serial number and CPL provide data for ordering parts and service.
NOTE: ISB engines are produced worldwide. The data plates used on engines may differ in appearance and location of information.

NOTE: If the engine dataplate is not readable, the engine serial number can be identified on the engine block on top of the lubricating oil cooler housing. Additional engine information is available by reading the ECM dataplate.

Does it make any sense whatsoever that a dealership would "special order" their trucks with reduced hp and torque? No, it does not. What would their sales pitch be? "Even though Ram has class leading hp and torque, the ones on our lot were special ordered to be less capable than our competitors?" Yeah, those "special orders" would fly off the lot.

The information on Dealer websites is junk. I've seen the CTD listed as a 6 cylinder gas engine on a dealer site.

Or as a V6 as I have seen sometimes. They take a basic template and modify it for each truck, so lots of rooooom for human errrrror! SNOKING
