2016 Uconnect 8.4A - how do I turn off the radio?

It is probably staring at me but how do you turn off the radio?

I know you can mute it - when truck is restarted it is playing again. If you turn it down all the way, then it will be quiet till you turn the volume back up - even after a restart (what I'm doing).

But... Can you really not turn "off" the radio?

Nope......all you can do is mute it and hit the screen off button.

And if you mute and change the channel, the volume comes back up.

You could just select one of the other media inputs that you don't use.....like SD card USB, it should stay on that selection until you change it....and if you don't actually have anything in those slots, there won't be anything to mute.

Well, I was hoping I was just blind - oh well. Selecting a media that isn't used is a great idea- thanks!
