Son was told my fellow that works with him that he can take his truck to dealer and they can program exhaust to stay on all the time. Punch exhaust brake switch and it will
turn off punch it again and it will come back on. I told him this don't sound right to me but I could be wrong. With all the epa crap and procedures they have to follow it don't sound correct to me. Anybody know anything about this?
The exhaust brake on my 2010 kicks out around 45 mph his 2017 will drop down to 35 mph fore it turns off. I run with my exhaust brake on all the time on the 2010 and he runs with his exhaust brake on and in tow haul mode all the time. I only use TH mode when pulling trailer guess I will have to run with it in TH and compare them. Much improvement on the 2017 over my 2010. Hmmm he got me to thinking
Do I keep my 2010 or get me on of them newer ones. I am getting older and you only go around once.
