Hey everyone,
I have been working with a Dealer on possibly ordering a 19 3500. I keep getting the run around about everything. Now that we can see prices on dealer quoting tool finally I had them build a truck, needless to say I haven't found a dealer that actually listens to the things that I want specifically. So my question is, does anyone have screenshots that can be messaged or can help me build exactly what I want far as options available etc.? That way when I walk in the door I can say this is what I want!

Thanks in advance!

The Ram website now has the "Build and Price" section working. I used it to configure *exactly* what I wanted, printed those pages out, visited several dealers. I told them I sought their best and final offer giving them 7 days to sharpen their pencils. I accepted a bid Friday 12 April 2019. I *HATE* "haggling"; now that I live in an area with several dealerships, I no longer have to, I simply give them specs and wait for bids.

Sorry but I love haggling with dealers, I know I'm gonna get a shaft, but I want as little of it as I can get, 4 hrs is usually my dealership time... The wife hates to go with me, been offered jobs by a couple dealerships.I refuse to pay any prep fees or paperwork fees too, never paid them and not gonna start anytime soon either.

O had been watching When a 2017 Ram 5500 for about 3 months as a carryover into 2018. The sticker with CM ER bed was $78,889. I asked what their best price out the door was, they offered $74K. I found one on ebay and got them to drop $2K more. Then negotiated $30K trade on my 09 Ram 4500 4x4 Slt 70K miles with bed. Couldn't negotiate extended warranty, so didn't get it. They sold the 4500 4 days later for $34K.

I love to haggle. Everyone made or saved money on the deal.

Cheers, Ron

comrade! i did just as you described for my 18 2500 tradesman. i could only get 1 dealer out of 4 to actually follow my build specs and give me a price. i found that hard to believe. i guess the other 3 had no interest in selling me a truck. after i took delivery of said truck, i completed the ram survey and threw the 3 lazy dealers under the bus. think of it - a man walks in to a dealer and wants to order a truck, and has all options picked out, and doesnt even want to drive a truck, and 3 out of 4 dealers do nothing. i consider my sale beyond easy. i guess they just wanted to sell what was on their lot. cheers comrades!

You can't throw another dealer under the bus on your sales survey. You can only rate your dealer. So if you did as you say you killed your selling dealer not the others.

no sir. in the additional comments section i named the dealers specifically. i gave the dealer that sold me the truck all the stars that i could - the best rating. along with the sales man. he even wrote me a thank you note. cheers comrade!

That's good. The comments are helpful, but the only way to actually hurt a dealer is give them a poor rating. That is why they work so hard for you to give them a good rating.

Actually word-of-mouth to local friends and family can work too. I won't mention the two offerors that did not win my solicitation but I was deeply disappointed by the one that chose not to respond in the manner I requested. Anyway, that dealership will be excluded from my future requests for quotes.
