That’s good news, so if you use your truck as intended it’ll never go into regen, if we go off of your example.

Don’t forget about the 24 hour run time regen it runs regardless of DPF soot loading. I’ve had it come on while towing with 900°+ DPF outlet temps already.

I started tracking my regens a few months ago, and they have all be right at every 24 hours of run time. I guess my use is as intended for the most part.

Earlier this month dad and I both had our trucks at hunting camp. Hundreds of miles below 20 mph, 5 mph and 5.2 mpg averages for me, and I went into regen once at 24 hours since the previous one. It completed but went off and on at least a dozen times with low speed, Park, etc. It had to see 10 mph to start again. Only twice in all those attempts did the DPF outlet temp get to over 900°. But it competed and never complained.

Dads 17 must not have completed a regen because once when he put it into park it immediately went to 900 rpms and into regen. Only the CTS2 indicated regen, as the dash was clear. It also didn’t get the DPF as hot as a moving active regen. I think they used to call that net reduction, thou I haven’t read about it on the 13+ motors. It also activated the exhaust brake. After 5-10 minutes he put it in gear and we drove on, regen immediately stopped and it didn’t come on again.
