I’m using Amsoil Signature Series ATF in my AS69RC and my 034Runner, both call for the same fluid. ASRC st are using Mobile 3309= Toyota T-IV. Both specs are on the label and it’s worked well for me. I also use it in my transfer case.

Part of the reason it’s such a short fluid change interval is that it’s an old fluid spec that isn’t synthetic. Most transmissions moved past this fluid spec 20 years ago.

Curious as I’m coming up to the 30,000 mile fluid change about using Amsoil. The capacity is around 13qts and your only draining around 7 qts. As you stated the old fluid isn’t synthetic so mixing the two fluids have any adverse effects. Most are using Mobile 3309, don’t know if this is synthetic or not.

I thought about this also half synthetic and half Dino oil probably doesn’t really hurt anything I guess but will take maybe about 3 changes to get full synthetic .Might be better to do mopar 7-8 quarts at 30 k 18 months then do synthetic at 60 k and filter. Warranty still good but almost over etc

Total volume is around 13, but drain and fill is only 7.2.

I haven’t seen any adverse side effects of mixing the factory fluid and the Amsoil on either of my Aisin transmissions… 4Runner and Cummins. 4Runner had 30K on it when it was given Amsoil, and not it’s at 217K. Cummins was at 15K for my 1st drain and fill, currently at 49K.

Mobil 3309 is not synthetic.

For God's sake PLEASE don't even think about "partial" fluid changes on this Forum!!!

Unfortunately I have not came up with a way to do a complete fluid exchange on the AISIN like I have done with the 68RFE and 47/48 on the 2nd and 3rd gen's.

Dad just bought a 14 AISIN the guy has NEVER replaced the AISIN fluid and it is no longer RED. I have around 16 quarts of AISIN MOPAR/MOBIL fluid along with AMZ/OIL OE ATF that I plan on draining and filling at least three times driving it around until fully heated and drained each time. Then I will let it drain all day or overnight with the pan off replacing the filter and filling with Sig Series ATF AMZ/OIL. Hopefully that will get the VAST majority of the nasty fluid out. Trans shifts perfectly with it running 165 towing 20k combined.

He never changed the rear diff or trans in 96k. Got 2k extra off the truck once I mentioned what the proper intervals were.

I wouldn’t have taken 2K off, I would have walked away.

Normally same here, try finding a used truck in this area that's not WAYYY high priced and hasn't been destroyed by stupid modifications. 52k for a 14 Laramie 3500 LB AISIN 96k is cheap in this market. It's a 60k or more truck all day around here. Drove a few hours to buy it.

Towed over a pass yesterday towing a new RV it performed like it should trans temp was 165 max.

Thanks guys.

Did the front diff and the fluid looked near new at 96k. The rear was not as dark as I thought and the inside bottom of the pumpkin was very clean. Very little fines on the magnet. The ring gear looks GREAT!!! I am pleasantly surprised. Drained for a few hours and mopped out the inside and filled with sig Series 75-90.

Transfer case fluid was not bight red but not dark either sl let drain for a few hours and filled with Universal AMZ/OIL ATF.

Trans I drained the pan for a few minutes and got out almost 7 quarts. Filled back the same quantity with Mobil 3309.

Drained the engine oil for a few hours and filled with aMZ/OIL 15-40 Sig Series and Donaldson filter.

Last couple days "service air filter" message came up. So when pulling intake tube to get to the filter I fremoved the air filter. It LOOKED fine and nearly new. I thought WTF??? I took it and tapped in on the floor and a lot of dust and debris came out. So tapped and blew out from back to get buy until the sir filter gets here from Geno's. It was a STP brand.

Tomorrow will do the rear fuel filter and drain and fill the pan at least two more times maybe three then drop the pan and filter then fill with AMZ/OIL ATF and Mopar filter.

Also waiting on the engine NanoNet filter, fan belt and cabin filter with door kit, and Bilstien 4600's from Geno's.

Also sucked out PS fluid and filled with AMZ/OIL ATF. Will suck out and refill a couple more times.

Forgot to order the AMZ/OIL brake fluid.

@Cummins12V98, Not that bad at all with 96K and not knowing prior service history. Nice looking combo and I'm sure he'll enjoy it for many years! Bet he's happy to have in house service dept.! Little bit of maintenance goes a long way!!

Surprisingly good for sure! When asking questions of the owner about trans and rear diff he admitted not knowing they needed to be changed and said they were not ever serviced. A few more drain and fills of the trans pan today then the pan removal and filter and AMZ/OIL get performed.

I have the fluid that came in my reman AISIN plus 12 quarts of 3309 and a few quarts of AMZ/OIL OE to waste. Not cheap but worth it to get as much of the old fluid out as possible. Putting a bit of the 2k savings to good use!

Mom passed away in January so he has gotten the bug to hit the road during the Winter months to the South like him and mom did from 1994-2019.

A good son takes care of his dads truck

It's been fun. He added a EZ drop for the tailgate today. He still had his White Knight backup lights he bought from Geno's years ago so we hooked them up today using a 7 pin plug instead of tapping into the wiring. Drained and filled the trans pan three times now. Drained for the last time today and letting it drain overnight. Will drop pan tomorrow, will be interesting to see what the inside of the pan looks like at 96k and not one change. Sucked out the power steering three times and filled with AMZ/OIL ATF.

Need to look at the brakes, not sure if he was a TH/EB user. He towed 20,ooo miles per EVIC.
