Added Bilstien's today. Maybe someone else came up with this idea but i was happy I thought of it. Bottle jack and scrap wood to raise the fender liner enough to RnR the top nut on the front shocks.

So I am reviving an old thead here for some advice.
I am helping my brother out who bought a used 2020 3500 with Aisin transmission. The truck is at 30k miles and according to the manual it is due for a fluid change in the transmission.
Since I will likely be assisting him (more likely doing the job) is this a drop of the pan or is there a drain plug? Is there a reusable gasket or do I need some gasket maker compatible for transmission oil?
What oil does this transmission take? Mopar part number?

On a side note he dropped it off at the dealer for the tailgate recall and to have the transmission serviced. The service writer told him that they never service the Aisin transmissions as the "fluid is good for life"........ If he wanted it done it would be $1400!!!!

-Aisin has a drain plug, easy to drain, hot, some like it to drip all night.
- First change is fluid only, so don't need a gasket.
- Mobil 3309 fluid, don't remember amount, I look it up everytime in the manual.
- I change mine, dealers occasionally lie...

Is the mobil 3309 compatible? Mobil website shows Toyota, GM and Audi specs. Not trying to stir the pot, just double checking.
Thanks.

ASRC, 3309, and Toyota TIV are all the same spec. They are all non-synthetic spec fluids.

There are some synthetic fluids carrying the designations if you’re interested.

My brother would likely stick with the same fluids. If it was getting flushed then a change might be in order.
One other question. I assume the fluid level check is the same as most other transmissions - operating temperature, gear shift in neutral?

This dealership used to be a reliable place to go. I wonder if this service writer mistaked the Aisin with the ZF transmission when he said that it didn't require service.
