A friend just bought his 2021 5500 which was at an Upfitters in South Bend Indiana getting his Hauler Bed and Kelderman rear suspension installed. He is currently on his way back to Idaho with the truck, but the rear tires are inflated to 95 psi which results in a somewhat rough ride with the empty 5500. Does the factory TPMS alarm if he lowers the rear tires to 70 psi for the rest of his trip? Can the alarm be silenced? He doesn't want to lower the tires down if he's going to get a constant alarm from the truck. Any information would be appreciated.

Complaining about the ride of a 5500 with Kelderman? If reducing and increasing his tire pressures for either “ride” or “hauling” all of the time are in his future....he probably bought the wrong truck.

There’s certain minimal inflation pressures required for the 19.5’s. The load and inflation tables will be his friend.

He's picking up his Spacecraft 5th wheel trailer in 2 weeks, trailer will weight about 23k with 6k+ pin. His truck weighs 10,250 unloaded, so by the time he adds fuel (140 gallons), tools etc in the Hauler Bed, and loads the 5th wheel, he's going to be up there weight wise. I believe 70 psi is the lowest pressure to run 19.5's . He'll be using the truck for only pulling the new 5th wheel. He's just looking to help the ride a bit while he bobtails home to Idaho.

70 psi is the lowest Toyo told me I could run on a set of 245/70R19.5’s I had.

As mentioned 5500’s don’t have TPMS, only TPIS.
