Do the 2022 models have an idle up feature like on my old 2006 had where you turn on cruise and hit set and it would idle up?

I was told no and why I asked, I assume I'll have to go see the dealer to have it enabled

Save your "dealer bux" for something else.

In the 2022 2500/3500 Owner's Manual check page 142 - Starting and Operating section...

Here are the instructions from a 2020. Should be the same.

Idle-Up Feature The driver-controlled high idle speed feature will help increase cylinder temperatures and provide additional cab heat, however, excessive idling may still cause the exhaust aftertreatment system to not properly regenerate. Extended periods of idle time should be avoided. The Idle-Up feature uses the Speed Control switches to increase engine idle speed and quickly warm the vehicle's interior.
1. With the transmission in PARK, the parking brake applied, and the engine running, push the speed control switch to the ON position, then push the SET switch.
2. The engine RPM will go up to 1,100 RPM. To increase the RPM, push and hold the ACCEL/RESUME switch and the idle speed will increase to approximately 1,500 RPM. To decrease the RPM, push and hold the DECEL switch and the idle speed will decrease to approximately 1,100 RPM.
3. To cancel the Idle–Up feature, either push the CANCEL switch, push the ON/OFF switch, or press the brake pedal.

NOTE: 
Engine idle speed will automatically increase to 1,000 RPM and engage the Variable Geometry Turbocharger at low coolant temperatures to improve engine warm-up.

Nope... dont need parking brake either... some times after remote start, I walk by, open the door and hit the button... idles right up.

Adding that if you have AlfaOBD, You can adjust that cold auto idle up from 1100 - 1500. Found that when digging around in Alfa. Have mine set to 1200. Can also adjust the idle shutdown timer from 5 - 60 minutes. AlfaOBD sure is handy!!!!!!!!!!

It’s also useful when you are stationary and have high electrical loads.

I will also use it for cool down after towing.

What is the idle "shut down" timer? Is that similar to the cool down timer I had on my 04?

Still need to get my bypass cable installed so I can poke around,.. too many projects

@bcbender, Yes, in AlfaOBD, Engine module. It shuts down the engine if it's been idling to the present limit. Truck has to be in run mode. When I get out and idling, shuts down after 10 minutes. When get back in, message on EVIC states the idle time was reached.

Will it eventually turn the ignition off? I know that the Ford will time out 60 seconds after shutdown, but I’ve never seen anything in writing on the Ram.

On mine, I've always been right there, so not sure if it will turn ignition off or not. Then again, my truck has the FOBIK that acts as a key. On the push start trucks, might be different? @bcbender, needs to get his cable and start playing with Alfa and the newer trucks! I know in a couple of months, I'll have a chance to play with a 2020 Bighorn Limited that my FIL has. I've got the cable, just waiting for him to return from FL to PA. When I get a chance to look into his, I'll post what I find if bcbender hasn't knocked out some of his "projects".

Thanks All, even thou I have had dealers tell me high idle was not available when I went out today I turned on cruse control, hit set and low and behold RPM went to 1100, not sure why I was told no can do...
