Ok truck has 6000 miles so motors broke in no issues what so ever with truck. Just went on a 1200 mile road trip Alaskas rough roads etc 3000 lbs slide in new truck is far better at doing this job than the old 1999 same hills curves etc it was a good test. New truck does it with much more confidence on grades and curves and stopping . Steering is more accurate no wandering. Bigger 18 tires ride smoother. 1 ton rides better. Better brakes and a seamless exhaust brake is a joy and the engine power is great. Just roll into it and your gone. And it make less noise it’s a winner. The downside to all of this is it cost money. The 99 required a substantial amount of upgrades to do the same job this one does it pretty much out box. I like that a lot. Keeps my warranty to but the fuel mileage is not as good as the old truck by far . Maybe 15-17 mpg empty or loaded .Old truck did 19 -20 loaded and 24 empty. Then there is the def expense. Fuel here now is $6.30 average. But over all a great work horse of a truck but it does love to eat it’s hay right. Drive on

Id say more like 10~12 loaded and 15~17 empty..is more accurate.......... and unless you are on flat ground in a 2wd going less than 60mph... not many of the common rails trucks would actually get more than 20.

Spot on..drove to Anchorage and back yesterday keeping it at 60mph and averaged 18 mpg. I locked out 6th gear for awhile just to see if any difference in mpg the instantaneous read out never changed. But hook up a trailer and it’s 10 ~ 12.

At any rate then burn a lot of fuel . Used about 80 gallons $500 diesel 3 gallons of def By far the most costly to operate that I have owned also the most powerful I expect fuel prices will stay high all summer and start to go down fall and winter but what will be the new normal no body knows. Lots of campers of all kinds here now. 40 ft diesel pushers pulling cars and trailers Many out of state plates New York Florida California etc If you got the money burn it

Have a station about 20 miles away 2 $5.29! Down from $5.79! Hope it keeps going down! FIL just had fuel pump recall done and he got a 2 mpg increase in his 2020 HO DRW. Around 19 unloaded in western PA. Has some grades, not flat land. :D

Took my fully loaded up ready to go down the road outfit over the scales at the city dump scale today truck camper front 2 inch hitch with basket Honda gen 3.5 gallons gas etc wife and me full of water and fuel grocery’s etc. no trailer 5880 front and 5720 rear total 11600 lbs. so I guess that makes the fuel that the truck uses more understandable. That’s a lot of weight and it does it very nicely but does use some fuel
