Do your self a favor for the future and buy a 6" long 1/4" flex end extension. Also modify a 10mm 1/4" drive socket as shown. I also ground down the end the bolt goes into to allow just enough for the bolt head depth.

Get a can of MR 5509. Use this to spray on pan and one side of pan gasket (thanks GS). This allows the gasket to stick to the pan and makes it easy to get the bolts started.

No reason to raise trans using the modified socket and wobble end extension. Something to look forward to at 60k.

Painted it RED to find it every 60k.

I think Cummins12V98 is giving you trans service advice.....not sure though. That, or it's his way of sayin congrats on the new truck. :D

Yes he was just trying to be helpful. But I bought the 10 year 100000 mile warranty. And will be 81almost 82 by then. Just hope to still be driving

And please read the entire manual thoroughly.
So you can use all the gadgets you paid for.
Gen3 was the last serie without Easter eggs.

Might be a bit off topic.

Those automatic transmissions on those new city busses sure don't sound very efficient. They make a whop whop wop wop when slowing down, stopping and starting up again. Maybe it isn't the transmission, but I can't imagine what is making that noise.

Probably Allison? Or maybe a larger manufacturer?
