Fuel Mileage and Regens

Looks like 4:10 is an option on 2500, but can't find what standard is.

I saw this on another forum:

"There is only one option as previously rumored. The HO is gone. The base engine is 430/1075 mated to a ZF Powerline with a column shifter. Grid heater is gone, replaced by glow plugs. Topside oil canister housing and both primary and secondary fuel canisters/filters mounted on the engine. There's a new combo DOC/SCR and EGR system."

What is a DFM automatic transmission???

DFM is simply the order code. Like for instance, I order a 3500 with order codes ETM and DFM, it simply means I included in the order the diesel option with automatic transmission.

Like I could technically walk into any RAM dealer, walk up to a sales person, and say I want a 2025 RAM 3500 Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4 with base options, but only options I want added are ETM and DFM. I will end up with a base truck, except for a diesel engine with automatic transmission. If that makes sense.

I consider that an upgrade having all in one place and probably changeable from the top altogether.
Means - we get a new oil filter after what? 35 years?

yeah, if an upgrade to you means not laying on the ground, I guess it qualifies as an upgrade.
I think the filtration is already about as good as it can get, so there isn't much room for improvement.
Honestly, if they remote mounted the fuel and oil filters all in one place with EZ access it would be nice...
better than snaking one of them thru the fenderwell and standing on your tiptoes trying to reach down there for the fuel filters, but it is what it is..
