matt, that's great for you. as you know a lot of people still don't know what they want to do. i'm already signed up to go to wyotech and come out being a diesel mechanic (only a 9 month course though). i'll only have my associates degree, but that's alright. hopefully i'll start my own business one day, but that's a ways away. yeah, you are right about the english stuff (hehe, i was joking back there). i'm not a great student, but i'm generally a B student with a C here and there and a couple A's maybe. i found history to always be the most challenging, but it truely is important afterall. i'm just happy to be able to do what i want to do and have things sorted out fairly well. of course i don't know everything, and i never will. i just asked this question to learn more and i got some great answers. thanks all!
Tom-always lernin me gooder.
btw, i've grown up with that theory of 4 years of necessary college. it's drilled into your head that it needs to be that way to make yourself important in life. the last year (especially getting my truck, meeting with the other cool diesel freaks, and a bunch of other stuff) . i made up my mind to be happy--do what i want to do. yeah, i'm the only dieselhead and one of the very few motorheads in my school, whatever. someone doesn't like it, i just ignore them. respect comes from yourself and your actions; it shouldn't be dictated my your interests. ok, i'm waaay off topic now.
