215 Cam Plate

What results, if any, would I get by installing a 215 manual transmission plate into a 180 auto. I plan on doing 230/605 some day, but have this plate now and it didn't cost me anything.

I think you would also want the correct boost orfice. Without it, you might not be able to get your boost up above the 18lbs you get with the std. plate.

I might be wrong, but you'd probably be better off sticking with your 180hp cam plate... . maybe even push it forward a little.



The manual transmission pumps don't need as 'healthy' of a cam plate to make more power... . for that reason an auto transmission cam plate will make more power than a manual transmission cam plate in a manual transmission pump. So, putting a 'less healthy' manual transmission cam plate into an auto transmission pump won't get you all that far... .



Again, I could be wrong.....
