As soon as i do some trans mod's i'm gona start turning her up a bit, my goal is 300-350 hp. hear my wish list as of now. #6 plate,4 in exz & some injectors but not sure which ones. i seldom tow and when i do it's never over 9000 lb. i don't want to change the turbo housing & i don't want a lot's of smoke (little ok). will EGT be a problem at this power level? last guestion. will this put me in this power range?

215s shouldn't have much of a smoke problem, especially if you also install an AFC spring kit. You might want to consider 370s instead of the 300s. If I remember correctly, Joe D. did not recommend the 300s. Joe, please correct me if I misquoted you. If you use the 370s and have the 160hp pump, you will probably need to change delivery valves.

Correct, Koa Man. 215s plus the strong TST plate should get you to 300+, even with a 160 hp. 370s will give more but the transmission becomes a problem around 250 hp; be sure it is upgraded well. EGT becomes a problem around 270 hp. For the goal of over 300, a 16 cm2 housing will be needed, backed up with low restriction 3" exhasut system. 4" won't help appreciably until you go for the HX40.

Yep, sure would. That is, if help=more power #ad

215s are expensive new. Occasionally I get used ones in trade. I also get ones that are low mileage, cleaned and balanced by the Bosch shop. Less pricey. Check around and see what you can find. No one wants less power #ad
