There seems to be allot of talk lately about the differences between the 887 and 913 pumps so I had to ask the question.
I'll start this off with mine. It's an 887 that has been to the bench for a minor low cost tweak and I have a mark for maxed out fuel delivery. I'm currently running close to that mark with a #6 plate (like the soft bottom end) It seems to respond (Motor, Turbo) just a little better with slightly less plate and almost totally cleans up at 40 psi.
I moved the plate back forward 1mm to see again how it responds both on and off the bottle, a gain to 42 psi. Off it's not bad and a tad more power with more smoke obviously, on the bottle it's a different anamal with the extra fuel keeping in mind my limited injector.
Which one of the pumps is better than the other? Joe D. comes to mind as one that has tested these to death in the past.
