Weight rating is way higher than stock.

A guy here locally has 245/70-19. 5's on a 03 2wd dually so they will fit. I don't know if they rub. 225/70 may be a better choice on 2wd.

I've also tried emailing chrome wheels, its been a week now and no response. I was asking them for a package quote, but I guess they don't take emails seriously. Hell, I only live 10 miles from that place and even stated in the email I could come by and put them on the truck.

Maybe I'll visit them and see what kind of operation they run. I know the area of Houston their shop is in, and lets just say its almost a slum there.

Let us know what you find out.

Off topic: nice rides. My dad and I have built three cars with LS1's and updated suspensions. The first i a 63 Oldsmobile with LS1 and auto. The second is a 56 Bel Air with LS1, 6 speed, and all C4 Corvette suspension. The one we are working on now is a 66 Vette with LS1, 6 speed, and C4 suspension.

Got any pics of those conversions? Sounds like some nice toys!

Bernie over at chromewheel.com is good to deal with. I'm not sure if you'll get a quote from e-mail. If you call him, you'll have one in no time.

I ran the 265/70R19. 5 package on my 03. I ran them for about 15K miles, but decided to change the truck completely, and sold them. They are on a black 01 4x4 in Missouri now. They do look good.

Just don't do burnouts with G rated Goodyear's. Man, they stink.

I have some pictures in my reader's rigs with the setup. I also have the mud flaps still laying around, if anyone is looking for some.

Forrest, isn't it past your bedtime? Oh wait... your nocturnal;)

Been to Sonic lately? I'm playing ball on Wednesday's so I haven't even thought of heading out there. Are they even still having it or have the kids ruined it for the adults?

I'm interested in that because I'm starting to lean that way. I'm just really nervous about all the head work that needs to be done. Let me know how it works out.

yank the stock head bolts and drop in a set of ARP studs, and you should be good to 55-60psi...

I'm planning an o-ringed head, but not sure if it's gonna go on at the same time as the twins, or if they'll just get installed w/ head studs :D

Kerm,

Can you please comment on the difference in ride with the 22. 5 wheels? I have had 19. 5" steel rims and 265 tires in the past. I am curious if there would be a degradation in ride quality.

Thanks!

Hey BCARMICLE do you have any photos of your truck? I am looking at that same exact rim tire application for mine. What kind of rims? Backspace? any rubbing? How do you like the application? Thanks Dave... ...
