Anyone heard of 22. 5 rims for our Rams? I remember a 4x4 magazine a few years ago where an F350 diesel had 22. 5 rims. #ad

I saw a first generation ram at Dieselfest 1999 that had the 22. 5's on. It was a very impressive sight. I have no idea what modifications were done to the truck to make them fit.

There was a 96 or 97 3500 4x4 with a custom crewcab conversion, a monster lift, and 22. 5 wheels in an issue of 4 Wheel and Offroad a few years back. I think the guy was in Missouri.

Rickson can make the 22. 5's if you want them.

22. 5's!?!? #ad
I think thats the same size thats on the bus!

Buses are usually 20. 5" Do you think we could get 24. 5" rims to fit the ram? I have a set of them from my Dump. Alcoa Rims

20. 5's? Most of the transit busses I've seen around here run 22. 5's. I used to work for a tire distrubutor and we sold lots of 20's, mostly bias ply, but I can't recall ever seeing a 20. 5.

I do think 22. 5's would look cool on a 3500, especially if you can get them aluminum, those big rims are HEAVY. Tires would probably last forever, but wet traction might leave a bit to be desired.

I can imagine they would look great. But with that much unsprung weight the handling would be horrible on medium to rough roads #ad

The Dual Designs kit uses Alcoa rims for a large truck applications with an adapter for the two different bolt patterns. The same thing could be done for 22. 5" wheels.

Papa Joe, you would be surprised at how they handle. I live in the country with asphalt roads that crown real bad. The truck sticks remarkably well because of the hard sidewalls, they don't roll.
