I had the timer set on the Espar. Didn't realize it was going to get that cold or I would have checked on it. Got ready to go home after work and the Espar showed a F53 code. (Flame cut out in boost mode) I went ahead and cycled the grid heater twice and she fired up, no problem. It's a 10 mile drive home and the power steering pump was still complaining when I shut her off. I guess it's time to try some synthetic power steering fluid.
We had about 8" of snow Tuesday with 25 mph winds. Made for an interesting drive home at 3:00 A. M. Was busting lots of 2'+ drifts. The next afternoon went to fire her up to go to work and she turned over good but would't fire. After I finally got the hood open, (frozen shut) discovered the fuel solenoid was encased in a block of ice. Got the girl friends hair dryer out and thawed it out. Worked like a charm. Sure be glad for spring!

Do you have block heater set up?

BTW 80 plus down here had to use the air today.

Yes, it has the factory block heater but no plugin for about 200'. The only time the Espar has failed to start has been when I was either low on fuel or when it has been 10 or more below zero. I think it needs thinner fuel when it gets really cold. (Like #1 diesel). I have been running Flying J #2 which is a blend and treating it with Howes.
