231 and 207 transfer case chains?

Hello all



I am ordering a new chain for the 86 Cherokee 207 transfer case and have been told that it uses the same chain as a 231. Can anyone confirm this? Would like to swap in a 231 but it has lasted 200,000 miles so far and sees very little offroad use anyway.

A 207 t-case uses a 1. 25 wide X 31 link chain. A 231 uses the same, and also a 1. 00 wide X 31 link chain. Make sure to get correct application. Check here for correct fit.
