Hey Folks,

Been wanting to replace the 265/70R17's with some 235/80's for a long time. Narrower, but still load range E. Have a much softer ride. Handling is a little more sloppy. Exact same diameter as the 265's so no speedo / abs calibration.

They were pretty cheap -- $579. 00 installed at my local Firestone.

Those don't look too bad. What pressure are you running? Increasing pressure may help the sloppy ride.

Yep. It's a tradeoff. I like the softer ride and don't use the truck as a sports car. I'm running around 60 lbs in the front and 40 lbs in the rear. I don't usually have any sort of load back there... Keeping the pressure low in the back keeps the center of the tires from wearing first. The max PSI is 80 lbs for these tires.....
