My 1998 Dodge 24 valve diesel truck(2500) recently started overheating when pulling my 5th wheel up the mountians. I changed the antifreeze, but that did not solve the problem. The dealer says they have no idea what is causing it to overheat. My next thought is that maybe the transmission is causing the overheating. I have not changed the transmission fluid for about 25,000 miles. I asked the dealer if they would change all the fluid even that in the torque converter. They said that they could not do that without dropping the transmission. Is that true?

I have had the fuel injectors replaced with high performance ones. That boosted the HP by 30 and the rear wheel torque by 100 ft. lbs.

I would appreciate any advice as to what might be causing the problem and what a solution might be. My 5th wheel weighs about 10,800 lbs.
