Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 24 valve head on a 12 valve engine?

Just out of curiosity, can a person put a 24 valve head on a 12 valve engine. Is there problems with air flow, fuel line hook ups, and what not? Just curious. .

You'd have to get new injection lines for sure. But it would probably be easier to convert an 24 valve to a P-pump.

What operates the extra 12 valves in a 24 valve? Does each valve have their own cam lobe/lifter or are they paired up and run off one lobe?

the onlything that has to be changed are the injection lines, which are avalible from Schied, if you have any questions call the terre haute shop and talk to JP



I have not done this yet but It is planned

The pistons would not work either. The bowl design has to match the valve/injector configuration.
