Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 24 valve injector install

I know someone had wanted to post these but was not allowed and was sending via email to individuals who requested them. If anyone knows who this was would you advise me. Planning to do the change shortly. Thanks for your help.

FourBarR the instructions are in the 24-valve FAQ section. . . you have to set the forum view to show threads from the beginning so you can see it (it defaults to a Month and the thread was posted awhile ago)

In simplified terms you remove the air horn, loosen the APPS mount, remove all the small blue injector hold downs, remove the bolt for the large injector hold-down, remove the rear engine lift bracket, remove valve cover, disconnect injector lines, pop the injector tubes out about a 1/2" with a small flat blade screwdriver. Then remove injector retainers (only remove forward 8mm bolt bolt, not both).

Easiest way to pop the injectors is use the closed end of an end wrench (like 15mm) and take one of your shorter intake horn bolts and a large washer and drop it through the end of your wrench and screw it into the injector. Then pry on one of the valve rockers and it will pop out.

Clean the injector hole, drop the new ones in, reinstall the injector retainers, torque the bolts to 89 inch/lbs, pop in the crossover tubes and finger tighten the injector lines, reinstall your blue retainers, then torque your injector lines to 28 ft/lbs. Reinstall everything else, when starting bump the starter and let LP run and do this 3 cycles & start cranking.
