So the $50-75 is a real number? Did you give them a call to see what the options are?

With all these offers and help I am getting the feeling.............
Next day parts cost between 50$ and 150$ to my door depending on what the part is yes that’s what it costs I ordered a new pilot bearing out of Montana it cost 30$ shipping for second day delivery I’m sorry you can’t believe that

I live 200 miles from Phoenix, I can get next day freight every day of the week without paying for it. Overnight is normal.
Good for you it isn’t that way here . I know I can order the part and I know how long it takes because I’ve bought parts from Cummins before

Offers what offeres all I see is people telling how much they can get a part shopped to them for how does that help me ? I know where I can order it and I know how long it takes and what it costs to get parts here I deal with it every day I order a lot of parts . The original question is can I use the gasket I have

I don’t know why I even bother to reply. Nobody can answer the question as to whether I can run gasket I have well it doesn’t matter because it’s on the truck anyway . Had to get the truck out of a friends shop that day and I couldn’t wait guess I’ll run it until it leaks or blows up

Why is this so hard? Because you don’t really want any help, you just want someone to tell you you’re right. You were told multiple times, use the correct gasket.

Can you use the wrong gasket? Absolutely. You can use anything you like. Put a piece of toilet paper in there, you don’t have to worry about cutting it out.

I didn’t want your address, just a general idea of where you are. You know, something like “I’m 150 miles north of Twin Falls.” I find parts for a living, it’s my job. I know where they can be found and how to get them as quickly and cheaply as possible. I offered my professional assistance with no expectations of anything from you but a word of thanks. It won’t happen again.

Who knew one simple question could piss that many people off? I’ve been working professionally on big trucks since 2003 and I have ordered lots of parts over the years the question was and still is can this gasket be used until I get the right gasket or do I need to order the correct one? Nobody ever has addressed that. I had to get the truck out of the shop the old gasket was broke so I put the new one on. I have to go get other parts today and I’ll see if the Cummins shop has the correct gasket

Not a professional opinion But I would think you need the correct gasket with the divider to keep from exchanging the exhaust gasses between those cylinders. I would think if the replacement you have worked Cummin's would have used it. I have seen the new gasket you have but it was not listed for a 5.9. That's my opinion.

I think it probably should have the right part and I guess I should have kept my big fingers shut and new better than to even ask. no point in asking anyway because I had to use because the truck had to come out of the shop the day I Posted the question and that is the only gasket I can get locally . I thought maybe someone would say oh yes I tried that and I ruined the turbo flange and the exhaust manifold Or that’s all I could find and put it on five years ago and so far so good . Oh well .

Found the correct gasket on eBay for 17$ and free shipping . Thoroughbred diesel wants 73$ for two day air . I will run the truck with what it has until I get the right part usually takes about a week or ten days from eBay

gee all that and You still never answered the original question . And why does it matter where I live I know where to order parts I even posted what the places people suggested which was exactly what I said it would be . I came to find out can this gasket be used with this turbo not where I can order parts / or anything else . So again can the gasket be used until the right part gets here
