They both want more power,,,,,,, the have looked at Diesel Dynamics and Edge,,,,,,,,,What is the best low buck upgrade,,,,,,,,,,,,, i knoiw theres not much low buck in the diesel world,,,,,,,,,,,, espically the 24valve,,,,,,,,,,, just looking for some imput,,,,,,,,,, trying to get both of them to join

A timing box like the Edge EZ, BD Plug N Power, Diablo Powerpuck etc. Will wake up a stock pretty well. They add around 60 horse. Used they are farily cheap and offer good performance for the price. RV275 injectors add around 40horse are a little cheaper but work well on a stock truck. With either of these additions the auto will be close to being overpowered, but if its not abused it should last for a while. The 5speed should last longer with the stock clutch depending how forgiving the driver is. Of course a high flow air filter, gauges, and exhaust are always nice too. :D

An EZ and DD II's make for a real nice combo but a stock transmission probably won't handle both together.

With the two aforementioned products the truck(s) should be around 320rwhp... . nice for towing and letting others drive it without worrying about them braking, melting, blowing-up, etc... . something expensive.

Make them join the TDR... if they can afford a truck, they should be able to afford the $35 for the subscription. (Best $35 I've ever spent on a vehicle: has saved me that and a whole lot more over the long run on repairs)

I'ts only been eight minutes since you posted. This is a forum, not a chat room. :D You have to give us at least an hour or two.

$100 - $10,000 is the difference from mild to wild. Get them to join the TDR and read & learn.

I'm not sure that the 275 RV injectors are "cheap" anymore. Best price I've found is about $58 each for recon's and that's with a core exchange! (Bosch doubled the price of these injectors recently!!).

I just put in a TST PM3 Adjustable (Powermax). You do have to attach to the pump wire, but the performance is pretty eye-opening. On level 9 (highest setting), I can't keep my foot in it for very long . . . unless I want to start running over the traffic I'm quickly overtaking. :D

This is a VERY impressive box for the money and probably, $ for $, just about the most cost-effective addition I could add for more power (`course, I got mine on sale, so that helps, too).

Where did you get the PM3 box and how much did you pay? I'm currently looking for one and was planning on going through Wildcat.

Thanks

Hi Tim.

I got my Powermax from BD Power. I bought the remote directly from TST. One bit of information: if you buy one, make sure it has the "telephone jack" on the back. If it does, it will PROBABLY be upgradable to an adjustable with the simple addition of the remote ($100. 00 from TST a few weeks ago . . . Rod @ Wildcat may have the same price).

Regarding Wilccat Diesel, I just received gauges, A pillar, and a MaxFlow fuel kit from Rod. Outstanding customer service.

Thanks for the info BigMo (Marshall?)

Not to stray off topic of this thread, but I agree about Rod at Wildcat: knowledgeable, friendly, willing to answer all questions patiently and excellent cust. service. I have an Isspro mechanical FP gauge on back order with Rod as well as the Wildcat Max Flow Fuel Line kit. I will likely end up getting the F1 Mach2 EDM's from him when my budget permits (tax return time next spring).

best bang - $35 TDR membership

Tell your friends to each spend $35 for the TDR membership, it's the best money they'll ever spend on their trucks. For them to put that money towards an upgrade without the knowledge available through the #1 resource would be a waste.
