Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 241 hd rebuild

Its nearing time to rebuild/replace my xfer case. Does anybody know of anywhere online I can read about doing this myself? And/or where a reasonable place to buy the parts is at? I would like to do it myself but first need to research it a little. Thanks.
